ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
HOY South Bay Outreach staff and volunteers operate a Thrift Store which includes a Garden Shop. We offer low prices and wonderful items (all donated) to all our shoppers. Gently used articles of clothing, shoes, and kitchenware are available.

Our Thrift Store offers people in need of exceptional bargains which helps them stretch their budgets. These stores help our clients to purchase clothing, shoes, and household goods at drastically reduced prices so that clients can pay their rent and keep their families in a safe and secure home.
LAWNDALE THRIFT STORE & GARDEN SHOP
4046 Marine Ave, Lawndale, CA (south side of Marine between Osage and Avis Avenues)
Open Monday thru Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Call the Thrift Store at 310-675-1384 and ask "What are Today's Sales" or visit the store daily.
Merchandise donations are gratefully accepted between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m, Monday through Friday. Deliver donations at the Avis Avenue Gate only.
MERCHANDISE DONATIONS
Your gifts of clothes, housewares and other non-perishable items offer a helping hand to a family who has suffered a loss because of fire, flood or crime. Warm blankets and coats, rain gear, tarps, plus clothes provide comfort to our homeless neighbors. All these gifts help to brighten the lives of others and give them hope for the future.

Merchandise donations are gratefully accepted between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m, Monday through Friday. Deliver donations at the Avis Avenue Gate only.

Gently used items are welcome. We do not accept broken, excessively soiled or worn items.
Never drop off gifts on the sidewalks when we are closed.
We are happy to receive clothes, shoes, housewares, small appliances, books, games and toys, CDs, DVDs and some small furniture items like lamps, end tables, small desks and chairs.
We do NOT accept:

Large furniture items (couches, chest of drawers, cribs, carpets, etc.) or any fiberboard furniture; please contact the Salvation Army.

No mattresses or bedding of any kind.

No large appliances; contact St. Vincent De Paul at 1-800-974-3571 for these donations.

Construction materials or waste (Recyclables)

Our current Sponsors provide food and other products every week, many donate 6 days each week.
We need additional sponsors who can provide items that are always in short supply including:

Refrigerated or frozen meats and seafood

Fresh beans and lentils

Fresh potatoes

Infant, toddler and adult diapers

Sanitary napkins and tampons
-
Baby wipes
-
30 gallon trash bags
-
Personal Care Kits (tooth paste, tooth brush, dental floss, soap, deodorant, etc.)
