HOY South Bay Outreach staff and volunteers operate a Thrift Store which includes a Garden Shop. We offer low prices and wonderful items (all donated) to all our shoppers. Gently used articles of clothing, kitchenware, appliances and even furniture are available.
Our Thrift Store offers people in need exceptional bargains which helps them stretch their budgets. These stores help our clients to purchase clothing, personal care products, furniture, appliances and household goods at drastically reduced prices so that clients can pay their rent and keep their families in a safe and secure home.

We provide a Clothing Outreach service for clients. Many have used this service to obtain nice clothing for job interviews, etc. Men are served every Tuesday between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Women and families are provided clothing outreach services Wednesday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Welcome Home Kits are a joy to prepare. We work with families who are making the happy transition from Homelessness to Housing by giving them what they need to set up their new home.If we don't have a needed item we will provide referrals to other charities who can fill a family's need.

Tragedy strikes without warning and disasters can cause severe hardship to families who experience fires, floods, mudslides, earthquakes and other calamities. We partner with the Red Cross to get your personal property replenished as quickly as possible. We may not have everything needed but we will provide referrals to other charities who can fill a family's need.
Prior arrangements and an appointment are required so we can have staff available to serve you. Clients should have their American Red Cross Client Case Worker call the office least 24 hours before you visit. Bring a copy of the American Red Cross Authorization Letter when you visit.

The food gifts we receive are converted to weekly groceries which feed over 1,500 neighbors each week. Warm blankets and coats, rain gear, tarps, plus clothes provide comfort to our homeless neighbors. All these gifts help to brighten the lives of others and give them hope for the future.
