Homeless Client Needs for Warm Weather Months

    •    Sun Block
    •    Hats
    •    Small packets of sanitizing disinfectant wipes
    •    Small tents for shade

• Disposable Infant and Toddler -- There is a continual and urgent need for disposable diapers. We have lost a source we counted on for many years. Several organizations and individual donors have stepped-up to fill the need but our diaper closet is empty frequently and we turn away many who are in need. We could really use 12 people or organizations who are willing to run a diaper drive one month of every year. Until we can identify those wonderful people or organizations, we could serve the poor better by giving them "old fashion" cloth diapers. Can you step-up and fill this immediate need? • Nutritional Supplements -- some of our clients who are battling cancer and other serious illnesses desperately need nutritional supplements. Nutrition therapy keeps a healthy body weight, maintains strength, keeps body tissue healthy, and decrease side effects both during and after treatment. Please call our office and discuss how you can help

 

• Flying Insect Control Back Door Air Curtain -- The Health Department  requires HOY to install an air curtain on our Food Outreach back door. Meeting this requirement will entail equipment purchase of around $600 plus installation costs, yet to be determined.

 

• 10 New Sustaining Donors in FY2023 (May20 to Jun 20) -- Contributing monthly or quarterly.
  

• 2 or 3 Social Work Interns -- From local accredited colleges or universities. Career building experience available with support for the homeless, outreach to the poor and disabled, health care screening, and community outreach.
