Feeding the South Bay Community for over 40 years
The South Bay Outreach Center performs its mission through the hard work and dedication of a small number of employees and a large group of volunteers. Many of our volunteers are clients in our programs and they support the charity’s operations by donating their time and talent. We estimate over 1,400 people are served by our weekly, emergency and daily lunch programs each month.
- Weekly Food Program: Every week, we provide boxes and bags of fresh groceries, non-perishable food, and prepared food from our sponsors to our weekly program clients. We deliver food weekly to our homebound clients.
- Emergency Food Program: For clients that need food immediately, they can call us to request a pick up on the same day.
- Daily Lunch Program: On Monday through Friday, we prepare and provide daily sack lunches.
Donations for the Food Outreach Program are provided 6 days a week by our generous sponsors. The food is removed from their shelves because it has reached its sell by date. Rather than waste these food resources, the sponsors provide this bounty for redistribution to those in need. The food that is given to South Bay Outreach Center in the morning is distributed to our clients in the afternoon. We ask our generous donors and members of the community to patronize these marvelous sponsors.
