Food Outreach Fresh produce, dairy products, bread / bakery, meet, fish and other essentials are provided to 50 families Monday through Saturday. The food is collected daily from 26 grocery stores and delivered to the House of Yahweh were it is packaged for pick-up. People needing emergency food can phone into the House of Yahweh, once a month, between 9:00 and 10:00 and receive their food the same day between 3:00 and 3:30. The first 10 callers are accepted. If a lot of surplus food exists then additional clients are accepted. Another service the House of Yahweh is able to provide is home delivery of food boxes to those clients that for one reason or another cannot cme to pick up their food. Are two refrigerated trucks keep the food fresh and safe during transport. How do I sign up to receive food? To apply for the Food Outreach program pick up an application from the House of Yahweh. The application is taken home and when completed you need to call the House of Yahweh for an appointment to be interviewed. If you qualify you will be assigned a day to pick up food once a week between 2:00pm - 3:30pm. EMERGENCY FOOD Emergency food can be received once a month by calling the House of Yahweh (310-675-1384) from 9:00am - 10:00am. The first 10 callers are accepted and can come to the House of Yahweh that day between 3:00pm - 3:30pm. A picture ID must be provided. How much food am I allowed? How much food is distributed to each client is determined by the number of people being provided for within the family. |
